STORY FULL OF SIGHTS
Maison Jean Huttard is a family-owned vineyard since 1860, gathered around the iconic village Riquewihr. It's one of the five historic Alsatian producers to launch the "Crémant d'Alsace" appellation in 1974.
The family quality policy, is keen to limit yields, harvest exclusively by hand, and produce "micro-cuvée". They believe that attention to detail, patience & passion of the winegrower lead to the creation of great wines and Grand Cru such as Sonnenglanz, Mandelberg, Schoenenbourg ...
FRIENDLY WILDLIFE
The establishment of organic viticulture in 2018 was obvious with Hélène and her brother Antoine to preserve the wildlife, "terroirs" and the quality of the 8 hectares of vines planted with Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Sylvaner, Pinot-Gris, Pinot-Noir, and Chardonnay. This biodiversity combine with their family experience contributes to create the purest wines.
PLAYFUL TERROIRS
Antoine recently improved their family method of making "Crémant" for a no sulfites added and no dosage one. While Hélène has developed a Wine on Tap range in ecofass kegs made from 100% recyclable HDPE to meet they sustainable belief and the fast-growing demand for their wines from restaurant, wine-bar and wine shop. But also a range of natural wines, orange wines and a Pet nat as well.
IMPRESSIVE RANGE
Hélène and Antoine Huttard ares one of the most promising winegrowers from Alsace, with a stunning line-up from dry to sweet, of mineral, powerful & generous white wines that possess a real sense of place. The reds are not to be left out with authentic Pinot Noirs fresh & complex. Due to small volume of production most of the wines are on allocation.
